Located ten minutes from Fulham Broadway and Parsons Green tube stations and minutes from the Kings Road, this attractive house has a warm homely atmosphere produced by the country-style décor which can be seen throughout.
The house is on a quiet road - set back from the Kings Road and right by Eel Brook Common. The accommodation is arranged over three floors and sleeps a maximum of 9 people in 3 double bedrooms, a twin and a single. There are 2 bathrooms.
The first room guests will find as they enter the hallway is a living area / TV room (12ft7 x 12ft4, 3.8m x 3.7m) which boasts impressive high ceilings, an attractive fireplace, two-seater sofa, chair, desk and computer (which is available for guests' use) with wifi broadband internet access, portable CD player, coffee table and an array of artwork on the walls. There's also a TV with digital channels. This is a nice relaxed area to work or rest any time of day.

The next room is the small but practical dining room (13ft x 8ft5, 3.9m x 2.5m) where you will find lush green walls, interesting artwork, and a dining table with six chairs. The table, chairs and curtains have been upholstered using the same fabric which brings an element of colour to the room.

|
The country-style kitchen (20ft5 x 10ft, 6.2m x 3m), which offers plenty of space and a sturdy wooden dining table that seats eight, boasts a traditional Aga oven and all of the expected appliances including coffee grinder, cafetiere, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, toaster and kettle. The tiled floors, soft fabrics, Welsh dresser, cook books and plants all add to the country feel and create a nice informal place for friends to get together and enjoy a meal. There is also a TV with digital channels in the kitchen.
French doors from the kitchen lead out onto the paved garden area, at its best in the summer months when plants are green and flowering. There is a table which seats six - making this a perfect location for al fresco dining.

Stairs lead up to a bedroom (12ft4 x 10ft6, 3.7m x 3.2m) with matching floral curtains and bedding. This room has a double bed (4ft6 x 6ft3), fitted wardrobe, chair, bookshelf, drawers and two bedside tables with lamp.
Next to this room is a pink-tiled bathroom which provides a bath and a basin, with a separate loo next door.

A few further steps lead to the drawing room (17ft1 x 28ft8, 5.2m x 8.7m) – again a comfortable, homely space where visitors will find it easy to relax. High ceilings and large windows ensure that the room benefits from plenty of light and a sense of space.
Cream carpets and subtle peach-toned walls create a warm feel. There is a range of comfortable furniture including a plush three-seater sofa, two seater sofa, two sofa chairs and three wooden chairs. The real working fire, marble fireplace, floral curtains and various artwork really add to the room's character, making it feel traditionally very English.
There are some lovely personal touches too – the coffee table houses some of the owner's favourite pieces and the side table displays the owner's miniature porcelain collection. The room is divided into two sections – the second half offers a grand writing desk and chair along with several well-stocked bookshelves.

Away from the drawing room and onto the next floor guests will find a hallway lined with bookshelves. This leads to a large bathroom with a bath with over-shower, marble-top basin and a loo.
Next door is a lovely bright children's room (11ft x 9ft6, 3.3m x 2.9m) with a single bed and a cot (which can be removed on request when booking). The room has been decorated with country-style fabrics and on the wall there is a selection of Beatrix Potter characters – which is a charming touch! There is also a set of drawers, fitted wardrobe, bookshelf and a rocking chair.
Stairs leads to a twin room (13ft3 x 9ft7, 4m x 2.9m) with two single beds, set of drawers, fitted wardrobes, TV, pretty dressing table and a bookshelf.
|
|
Next door, the master bedroom (14ft5 x 12ft8, 4.4m x 3.9m) provides plenty of light and has a large bed, fitted wardrobes, a two-seater sofa, TV, set of drawers and a dressing table with mirror – both of these rooms have been decorated with a country-style theme.
The final bedroom, located on the top floor, is quite special. The walls and ceiling have been covered in wooden panels – giving the room a Swiss chalet feel! There's plenty of light as the room has a large skylight, and guests will find a TV, stereo, set of drawers and a desk, chair and bench.
The best feature of this room is the 4 poster double canopied bed which yet again continues the country theme.
