This well appointed and spacious studio apartment is on the lower ground floor (lift) of a portered mansion block built about 1910. It's in a great location just a couple of minutes from Marble Arch (tube - Central line) and Oxford Street. The wide open spaces of Hyde Park are just across the road.
The apartment sleeps 3 in a double bed (fold-away) and a single bed (fold-away), with a possible fourth (child only) on the large sofa. There's one bathroom.

Although this is a lower ground flat it's surprisingly light. It views onto private gardens where squirrels can be seen scurrying in the trees; the half-height sloping retaining wall is painted white and reflects light into the flat.
Despite being situated on a busy thoroughfare there is no traffic noise as the apartment is at the rear of the building. A gentle rumble (the Circle line tube) is heard on a regular basis, however it lasts no more than 10 seconds and is no louder than a distant overhead aeroplane.

The living/sleeping area (16ft9 x 14ft9, 5.10m x 4.50m) is furnished with a three seater sofa (suitable for a child to sleep on), a very large armchair (that converts into a 3ft wide single bed), writing desk, chest of drawers, side tables and standing lamps.
The 39in (99cm) flat screen TV and DVD player is connected to a surround-sound home cinema system. The DVD player has a plug-in socket for a lead from an iPod so you can play your favourite music in full surround-sound stereo!

|
There's a wifi high-speed broadband internet connection.
In "night mode" the large armchair converts into a 3ft wide single bed and a full sized (5ft) bed emerges from the wall cupboard.

|
The dining table is in the surprisingly spacious hallway and seats 4.
The kitchen has all the expected appliances including a microwave, and washer/dryer, but no dishwasher.
The bathroom is tiled and has a bath + over shower, basin and loo.
