Comfortable apartment with large roof garden 5 minutes from Victoria – sleeps 4.  Map

Price per night £230.   Sorry - minimum age 12 and minimum stay 7 nights.

This 4th floor flat (good lift) is in a secure private block only 5 minutes walking distance from Victoria (tube District, Circle and Victoria lines and main line station). Apart from benefitting from a great central location, a major feature of this accommodation is a large and virtually private roof garden which is literally just outside your flat door.

Despite being in a fairly modern building, the apartment has a traditional homely "English" feel that can be sensed the moment you walk in. The accommodation sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, one double and one twin, There are two bathrooms – one of which is en-suite. Broadband internet access is provided.

At the back of the property, the sound of trains slowly entering or leaving Victoria Station can occasionally be heard. Triple glazing keeps this noise to a minimum and it should not bother anyone used to city living.

On entering the hallway the first room ahead is the drawing room (23ft x 16ft7, 7m x 5m) - a spacious room with bags of character. This room feels authentically English with its dark wooden floorboards, pale walls, comfortable sofas, patterned rugs and classic paintings on the walls.

There's a central marble/wood fireplace, two 2-seater sofas, several chairs and a dining area tucked away next to the windows - the dining table seats four and overlooks the garden outside.

For your entertainment there is a large flat-screen TV with a DVD player and comprehensive Sky package (with sports channels) and surround sound .

The large roof garden is accessed by a door just outside the entrance to your flat and because it is used by so few of the residents this makes it virtually your own private garden! There is a designated area belonging to the flat with a BBQ, a table and seating for 8 - the ideal spot to enjoy an al fresco meal or a cold beer after a warm day's sightseeing. The garden has an abundance of potted plants and colourful flowers – a natural oasis in the heart of the city.

The kitchen (10ft7 x 6ft1, 5m x 1.9m) has a classic country feel that fits in with the overall style of the apartment. The room has blue tiled walls, classic pale wooden cabinets and everything you will need for a self-catering stay: washing machine, dishwasher, oven, electric hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge-freezer.

The master bedroom is a generous size (13ft1 x 12ft3, 4m x 3.8m) and continues with the classic theme with dark wooden drawers, mirrored-fitted wardrobes, flat-screen TV and art on the walls. This is a comfortable space with its own en-suite bathroom, tiled throughout, with bath+over-shower, basin and loo.

The twin bedroom (13ft6 x 9ft2, 4.1m x 2.8m) is in classic style with soft green tones and floral prints. There is a fitted wardrobe, chair, flat-screen TV, bedside table and paintings and drawings on the walls that bring a creative touch to the room. The second bathroom has a bath with over-shower, basin and loo.

This flat is in a very convenient location. Victoria is very well connected so other parts of the city easy to get to by tube or bus. Good quality restaurants are plentiful, Grumbles is a recommended family-friendly bistro and Gran Paradiso for fair-priced Italian fare. For something rather more upmarket, Santini and Memories of China both offer delicious cuisine.

Green Park, St James's Park and Buckingham Palace are all within walking distance – it should take around 15 minutes on foot but there are numerous buses that can take you to these attractions should you prefer to save your feet!

This is a No Smoking property.
